The EACML City Service Charge applies to property owners within Eko Atlantic City in accordance with the applicable terms of the Contract of Sale, Deed of Assignment, and EACML municipal requirements. The charge supports the provision, maintenance, and management of essential services and infrastructure across the city.
Owners of Built Properties
Owners of completed residential and commercial properties are required to pay the applicable Service Charge for their properties. This includes owners of houses, buildings, commercial developments, and other completed properties within Eko Atlantic City.
Owners of Apartments and Commercial Spaces
Owners of individual apartments, commercial spaces, and other separately owned units are responsible for the applicable Service Charge associated with their property or unit, in accordance with the applicable billing arrangements.
Owners of Vacant Plots
Ownership of a vacant or undeveloped plot does not exempt the property from the Service Charge. Owners of unbuilt or vacant plots are required to pay the applicable charge for their properties.
Properties Under Construction
Properties that are part-built or under construction are also subject to the Service Charge. The applicable billing treatment is determined based on the property's status and the relevant EACML billing requirements.
Property Owners' Responsibility
The responsibility for the Service Charge rests with the applicable property owner or liable account holder. Where ownership, property status, or other relevant information changes, the account should be updated with EACML to ensure that billing records remain accurate.
Keeping Your Account Up to Date
Property owners should ensure that their contact and property information is correctly maintained on the EACML Municipal Portal. This ensures that invoices and other billing communications are issued to the appropriate account and that the applicable Service Charge is properly assessed.
