Vehicle access to Eko Atlantic City is managed through a controlled verification system designed to ensure that vehicles entering and operating within the city are properly identified and authorised. Vehicle owners, residents, businesses, contractors, vendors, and other users are expected to comply with the applicable registration and access requirements.
Vehicle Registration
Vehicles requiring regular access to the city should be registered through the designated EACML process. Registration information, including the vehicle's identification details and associated user or account, must be accurate and kept up to date.
Access Credentials
Depending on the category of user and nature of access, vehicles may be required to have an approved E-Tag, Municipal Sticker, or other applicable access credential. These credentials are linked to the registered vehicle and are used to facilitate identification and verification at designated entry points.
Verification at Entry Points
Vehicles may be electronically or manually verified at city entry points. Security personnel may check the vehicle's registration, access credential, driver or occupant information, and the purpose of the visit before access is granted.
Visitor and Temporary Access
Vehicles belonging to visitors, guests, contractors, vendors, or other temporary users may require appropriate access authorisation before entry. Where applicable, the host or authorised party should arrange the required visitor access through the Municipal Portal or designated EACML access control process.
Vehicle Credential Requirements
E-Tags and Municipal Stickers must remain properly assigned to the vehicle for which they were issued. Users must not transfer, duplicate, alter, conceal, or otherwise misuse vehicle access credentials.
Unauthorised Vehicles
Vehicles that are unregistered, cannot be properly verified, have invalid or compromised access credentials, or do not meet applicable entry requirements may be subject to additional security checks or denied access.
Changes to Vehicle Information
Vehicle owners and authorised users should promptly update their records where a vehicle is sold, replaced, transferred, or otherwise ceases to be associated with the account. Existing access credentials may be deactivated where the vehicle is no longer authorised.
Compliance with City Requirements
Vehicle access is also subject to EACML traffic, parking, security, environmental, and other municipal requirements. Authorised vehicle access does not exempt drivers or vehicle owners from complying with these requirements while operating within Eko Atlantic City.
