Roadside parking is not permitted within Eko Atlantic City. Vehicles must not be parked, stopped, or left unattended along roads, road shoulders, junctions, access routes, or other areas not specifically designated for parking.
No Roadside Parking
Motorists are required to use designated parking facilities when leaving their vehicles. Parking along the roadside, even for a short period, can obstruct traffic movement and create unnecessary risks for other road users.
Keep Roads and Access Routes Clear
Roads within Eko Atlantic City are designed to support the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and other road users. Unauthorised roadside parking can narrow available lanes, obstruct access routes, and interfere with the movement of emergency, service, and construction vehicles.
Do Not Obstruct Entrances or Junctions
Vehicles must not be left in locations that obstruct building entrances, driveways, intersections, pedestrian access points, service areas, or other points of access. Particular care should be taken around junctions and areas where clear visibility is required.
Use Designated Parking Areas
Motorists who need to park should use the city's designated parking facilities or other areas specifically authorised for parking. Drivers should ensure that their vehicles are fully within the designated parking area and do not obstruct circulation or access.
Temporary Stops Are Not Parking Areas
Stopping a vehicle briefly does not permit motorists to use restricted roadside areas as informal parking spaces. Where a vehicle must be stopped, the driver should ensure that the location is safe and does not obstruct traffic, pedestrians, entrances, or essential access routes.
Enforcement and Compliance
Roadside parking restrictions are enforced to maintain safe and efficient movement throughout the city. Vehicles found parked in unauthorised locations may be subject to applicable enforcement measures, including removal where necessary.
