Prohibited or Dangerous Animals

The keeping, bringing, or handling of animals that pose a significant risk to public safety is restricted within Eko Atlantic City. Residents, visitors, and property owners are responsible for ensuring that animals kept or brought into the city are appropriately managed and do not endanger people or other animals.

Restricted Animals
Animals that are inherently dangerous, aggressive, venomous, or otherwise capable of causing serious harm may not be kept or brought into the city without the required authorisation from the relevant authorities.

No Unauthorised Keeping or Movement
Prohibited or restricted animals must not be kept on residential or commercial premises, transported through the city, or brought into public spaces without prior approval where such approval is required.

Public Safety
Animals capable of causing injury, transmitting disease, or creating a significant safety risk can pose a danger to residents, visitors, workers, and other animals. Appropriate restrictions help maintain a safe environment throughout the city.

Responsible Animal Control
All permitted animals must be properly controlled and secured by their owners or handlers. Animals must not be allowed to roam freely or enter areas where they could pose a risk to members of the public.

Compliance and Enforcement
Where an animal is considered prohibited, dangerous, or improperly kept, the responsible owner or handler may be required to remove it or take corrective measures. Violations may also be subject to applicable municipal, security, or legal enforcement procedures.
