The OTP Gate Pass system provides residents, property owners, businesses, and other authorised users with a secure method of granting temporary access to their visitors. A unique One-Time Password (OTP) is generated through the EACML Municipal Portal and presented by the visitor at designated access points for verification.
Generating an OTP
An authorised user may generate an OTP for an expected visitor through the Municipal Portal. The request should contain accurate visitor information and, where required, the expected date or period of access to support proper identification and security management.
Visitor Access
The visitor is required to present the valid OTP at the designated gate or access point. Security personnel or the access control system will verify the OTP against the information recorded on the Municipal Portal before access is granted.
Validity and Use
An OTP is intended for the specific visitor and access request for which it was generated. It should not be shared with unauthorised persons or reused for visitors other than the individual for whom it was issued.
Resident Responsibility
The resident, property owner, business, or authorised user who generates an OTP is responsible for the visitor they authorise. Users should only generate gate passes for genuine visitors and should ensure that the information provided is accurate.
Security and Verification
Presentation of a valid OTP does not prevent EACML security personnel from carrying out additional verification or security checks where necessary. Access may be declined where the OTP is invalid, expired, has already been used, does not correspond with the visitor, or where other security requirements have not been satisfied.
Misuse and Unauthorised Access
OTP gate passes must not be altered, duplicated, transferred, or used to facilitate unauthorised entry into Eko Atlantic City. Suspected misuse or unauthorised use of an OTP should be reported to the appropriate EACML security or municipal support team.
Events and Multiple Visitors
For events, parties, meetings, or other occasions involving multiple visitors, organisers should use the appropriate visitor access arrangements provided by EACML rather than relying solely on individual OTP requests where a more structured access process is required.
