e-Tag Registration

The Eko Atlantic City E-Tag system provides a controlled and efficient means of identifying and managing vehicles entering and operating within the city. E-Tags are linked to registered vehicles and authorised users, supporting faster access processing and improved access control at designated entry points.

E-Tag Registration
Residents, property owners, businesses, and other eligible users may register their vehicles for an E-Tag through the designated municipal process. Vehicle and account information provided during registration must be accurate to ensure that the E-Tag is correctly assigned and associated with the appropriate user.

Vehicle Information
Each E-Tag is associated with specific vehicle details recorded in the municipal access control system. Users are responsible for ensuring that registration information, including vehicle details and ownership or user information, remains accurate and up to date.

E-Tag Assignment
An E-Tag is assigned to the registered vehicle for which it was approved and should not be transferred between vehicles. The E-Tag must be properly installed or positioned as required to allow access control systems to identify the vehicle at designated entry points.

Replacement and Deactivation
Lost, damaged, stolen, or otherwise compromised E-Tags should be reported promptly to EACML. The affected E-Tag may be deactivated and, where applicable, a replacement issued following the required verification process.

Vehicle Changes
Where a registered vehicle is sold, replaced, transferred, or otherwise removed from the user's authorised vehicle list, the E-Tag record should be updated accordingly. Users should not continue using an E-Tag associated with a vehicle that is no longer authorised under their account.

Access Control
E-Tags form part of Eko Atlantic City's wider access control system and are used to facilitate the identification and authorisation of registered vehicles. Possession of an E-Tag does not override other access requirements, security checks, traffic regulations, or restrictions applicable within the city.

Responsible Use
E-Tags are issued for authorised use and should not be shared, duplicated, altered, or deliberately misused. Any attempt to circumvent the city's access control system may result in the E-Tag being deactivated and may be subject to applicable enforcement measures.
